German military passport from WW2

Extracts from the German army passport the uncle of the author. In a Wehrmacht Wehrpass there are some interesting information about the conscription, weapons training, operational use, units, wounds etc.

Drafted on 19th October 1936 in Büdingen.

The units with dates: 19th October 1936 until 26th October 1938 conscription. From 26th August 1939 until 10th February 1942 and again from 2th March 1943 war service.

Last entry from 24th March 1944 to 28th July 1944 with the 4th heavy company (anti-tank unit) of Panzer Grenadier Regiment 28.

Weapons training on rifle Karabiner 98K, machine gun MG34, pistol Walther 08, anti-tank guns Pak 3.7cm, Pak 5cm, Pak 7.5cm, Russian 7.62cm Pak.
To use as the target gunner of anti-tank guns or machine gunner. Additional, a driver license.

Promotions and awards: on 1st October 1937 to Corporal on 1st September 1943 to Lance-Corporal. Wounded badge on 23th December 1943, 26th July 1944 Iron Cross.

Combat missions: 12th May 1943 to 28th July 1944 in Russia. |
Wounds: 28th September 1943 face by bullet, on 28th July 1944 killed in action.

Size for gas mask, steel helmet, hat and boots as well as on the right the entry from 10th February 1942, dismissed as a armaments worker from the army.
